The Tiida was a product of Nissan's alliance with Renault and shared underpinnings with the Renault Megane. The boxy body is there to provide a spacious interior. The front seats are almost as wide as those of a much larger car, due to great design that sees the adjustment levers being placed in the frequently-wasted space between the two seats.
There is just as much legroom in the back as there is in most large family sedan cars. As well as generous head and shoulder room. The boot is unsuspecting large for the size of the car.
The Nissan Tiida has pretty great comfort while driving, with a reasonably supple feel from the suspension. The noise and vibration from the car suppression are impressive and is on par with the next level up of car model.
The 2010 Nissan Tiida got a bit of a facelift that extended and reshaped the front of the Nissan Tiida. A new front grille and with most models getting colour coded body skirts which have made the Nissan Tiida look and stand out a lot more with the rest of the market.
With a 1.5 to 1.8-litre engine and great torque. The engine is pretty is reliable and both the engine and automatic gearbox can take a beating and wont let you down.
Fuel economy from the 1.5-litre and 1.8-litre four-cylinder is impressive, with 7.6L/100km, which is easily achieved if driving to the road code and sticking to speed limits.
The Nissan Tiida is a great economy rental car and provides decent comfort and fuel consumption with never say die attitude, you will be satisfied with the Tiida on your journey around New Zealand.
