Climb the Harbour Bridge
You can’t visit Sydney without marvelling at the steel beauty that is the Sydney Harbour Bridge. While it provides the perfect backdrop to those photos of the harbour, it’s an even better view from the bridge itself. If you’re comfortable with heights, we highly recommend climbing to the top.
There are a couple of climbs to choose from depending on how long you want your adventure to be. You can also tackle the climb at different times of day (dawn, day, twilight and night). No matter which option you choose, you’re sure to enjoy the panoramic views of Sydney, as well as a closer look at the structure of the bridge itself.
Head to the highest point above Sydney
If the bridge’s views have you eager for more, gather your family or friends and visit the Sydney Tower Eye. 250 metres above the streets of the city, you’ll get to enjoy epic 360-degree views that have to be seen to be believed. This is a great activity for the whole family, with a 4D cinema experience also available.
To get a truly unforgettable experience you can also sign up for the Skywalk. As the highest viewing platform in the city, you’re sure to get amazing snaps – either on your phone or burned in your memory. While it is high, it’s more calming than you think and a perfect way to kick that fear of heights. Go during a sunset to chill the vibe even more.
Sticking with theme of heights, we also recommend a skydiving experience without a plane. iFLY Downunder offers an indoor skydiving experience that is great for kids and adults alike.
Trust us, this activity can get quite addictive, as it’s just like the real thing without the fear attached to jumping out of a perfectly good plane. Your kids will feel like superheroes as they learn how to master the skill of flight – hey; maybe you’ll feel like a superhero too. Why let the kids have all the cool things?
Enough air, let’s jump in the water
One of the things Sydney is most known for is its incredible beaches. Check out the famous Bondi Beach and learn to tackle the surf like a pro by taking some surf lessons. You’ll be catching a wave in no time and really living like a local.
Rather go without the waves? If you’re looking for a calmer swim, take a dip in the Bronte Baths. You’ll still get that refreshingly cool salt water, but the waves will be stopped by the cliff the pool was built into. Bliss.
From the sky or deep in H2O, Sydney is the perfect getaway for people of all ages.
