Payment Options

Ace Rental Cars accepts the following methods of payment for the rental of vehicles;

• Cash (New Zealand Dollars ONLY)
• Australian EFTPOS
• Debit Visa/Mastercards*
• All major credit cards*
• Pre-payment vouchers from approved third-party agents

Credit card surcharges:

There is a credt card charge of 1.99% excl GST for all transactions that use a credit card and a debt card

Visa debt cards are charged a 1.99% excl GST fee this is due to banking providers charging the same fee for both credit and debit cards types

 

ONLINE PAYMENT
Online payments are processed over secure connections using the services of Direct Payment Solutions.

SECURITY
All hire’s require a security bond to cover the liability in the event the vehicle is damaged. This may be done by either of the following methods;

• Credit Card – Credit card – A pre-authorisation will be taken on the hirer’s Credit card which will ‘freeze’ The amount of the pre-authorisation will be equal to the amount of the liability carried on the vehicle, in-line with the selected CDW option.
  This authorisation will be released by the customers issuing bank in accordance with their own terms & conditions, on conclusion of the rental period.
• NOTE: Cash or EFTPOS payments will NOT be accepted as security against the hire of a vehicle.

All online bookings require a non-refundable 10% deposit to be taken.
