Lake Tekapo is also home to New Zealand's most photographed Church, The Church of the Good Shepherd. This Church is said to be the hardest Church in New Zealand to deliver a sermon, with its empowering mountain backdrop visible through the pulpit window, it's hardly surprising!There is a variety of accommodation from camp grounds to hotels. There is also a number of bars and cafes to choose from. Lake Tekapo is growing rapidly and the facilities are always improving. If you're driving straight through to Christchurch, it's a good spot for a coffee and a stretch.
