1.      One way rentals

We have no charge for one way rentals, however in general we can offer better daily rates on rentals with the same pick up and drop off location.

2.      Travel in the South to North direction

Most visitors to New Zealand arrive in Auckland and leave from Queenstown or Christchurch. Get better vehicle hire rates by traveling in the opposite direction! If you want a one way rental, consider starting your trip in the South Island and return your car in Auckland. We can often offer better rates in the South to North direction than the opposite direction.

3.      Travel off Season

Summer is the best time to visit New Zealand, but as a result the demand for rental cars is the highest in this period too and so are the rental rates. In the South Island there is a peak in winter too because of peole renting cars for there skiing holiday. Why not come to New Zealand off season and beat the crowds! Summer peak is from December untill half April, Ski peak is from half July untill September.

4.      Rent full days

Our car rentals run for 24 hour periods. So if you drop off your car before or on your pick up time, we won't have to charge you for an extra day.
